Stunning vineyards, fabulous golf courses and the beautiful beaches of Gerroa, Gerringong and Shoalhaven are all a short drive away. The most spectacular walks in nature beckon or book a sunrise horse ride along Seven Mile Beach. Or if a little self care is in order, reinvigorate your body and mind or find your creative side. There are any number of local activities to indulge in, from pottery workshops to a relaxing full body massage or a local yoga class.

BERRY village

Winning the NSW Tourism Top Town Award for the last three years, Berry delivers the best of country meets coast. The town itself is a historical gem and boasts award-winning restaurants, sophisticated shopping and a wide range of activities. With an exciting calendar of local events, from regular farmers’ markets to The Berry Writers’ Festival to the annual country show, Berry has something for everyone.

WINERIES

Visit one of the many wineries and enjoy locally grown wines. Visit the cellar door or restaurant of Crooked River Wines (pictured above) and enjoy the spectator view of Rose Valley. Feel like taking a wine tour? Add these local wineries to you list too, Two Figs Winery, Silos Estate, Mountain Ridge Wines, and Cambewarra Estate.

HORSE RIDING

Book one of the most spectacular horse rides on the south coast and experience a sunrise horse ride along Seven Mile Beach. Regal Riding specialise in children's programs, lessons, trail rides and beach rides.

GOLF

Some of the most picturesque coastal golf courses are found on the NSW South Coast. Gerringong Golf course is one of the most scenic. A take a short 15min drive down to Shoalhaven Heads and play The Heads Golf Club , another coastal bushland course located on Seven Mile beach.

Bundara Farm is located an easy 5 minute drive away from the famous Seven Mile Beach. Enjoy a long relaxing beach walk , take a swim in the crystal clear water, or book a surf lesson from one of the local surf schools. Further north, just a few minutes drive, explore the calm inlet of Gerroa - perfect for small children or stand up paddle boarding. Then head up to the picturesque golden beach framed by grassy green clifftops at Gerringong’s Werri beach.

LOCAL MARKETS

The Berry Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday at the Berry Bowling Club on Queen Street between 2-5pm. You’ll find a great range of fresh fruit and veggies, meat and seafood, dairy, baked goods and ready made meals. For a larger market then be sure to be in town for the monthly Berry Market, held on the first Sunday of every month at the Berry Showgrounds. Explore over 200 stalls offering a range of arts and crafts, locally grown vegetables and produce, collectables, books, plants, leather goods, clothing and many other interesting stalls to browse.
